I saw this Manhattan matador pushing pigeons round the platform at Smith and Ninth.
Herding the birds with a pad of A4 as we waited for the F train. On his boots was scribbled SANCHEZ but he was a far cry from those tightly sequined and silked Andaluces I remember from years ago. He shoved and shifted the birds about, teasing them towards the tracks and smiling up like a boy when they obliged terrified...
One of these days, one of these trains, one of those pigeons is going to charge and gore him nasty.
